Hurt My Low Back.. AGAIN.

Oops you did it again...

But it's not Brittney, its your low back.

Could have been the first time in a year, or maybe it's the third time this week.

Regardless, what do most people do today when this happens, especially if you don't have an established team to help you out?

**YouTube or TikTok Search** exercises for back pain.

This can be such a confusing place to be in, and honestly can sometimes leave you feeling more helpless than when you started. Is flexing bad? No wait this video said extension is bad. ooh this person said its all in my heads..sound familiar?

The big issue I have with this is everyone is an EXPERT. Everyone has the magic “fix” or tool that promises to help you out & bounce back fast.

I don't know everything, but what I do know is: there is no ONE singular best exercise for pain management.

On top of there being many factors that contribute to pain (sleep, stress, pain perception, nutrition, to name a few), every person is going to experience pain in different ways.

The benefit  to this is, it matters way less what specific exercise you do…

One thing that IS supported is that tolerable movement is generally a good idea when it comes to back pain recovery, which again is going to look different person to person & incident to incident.

So let me propose something to you. Just hear me out. Instead of searching for THE BEST way to get rid of your back pain, find something that you can tolerate to build confidence back in the way you move.

I’ve attached a few videos you can use as inspiration for dealing with that next flare up.

Ex #1: All four breathing

Ex #2: 9090 knee Rolls

Ex #3: 9090 transitions

Again - it's less about the actual movements and more about the ability to do them without recreating your pain.

Still having pain? Let's set up an appointment and get to the root cause so that we can discover the long term solution.

Remember: Pain is not okay, and age is not an excuse.

Hope this helps!
